Is your business ready for this $100 billion goldmine?
Mark Zuckerberg made Facebook available for public trade on May 18th, a move that is expected to value Facebook between 80 and 100 billion dollars, which would make Facebook’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) bigger than goliath companies like Disney, Amazon and McDonalds.
The Facebook IPO will likely end up being about 5 times greater than Google’s August 2004 IPO. Both companies have experienced unparalleled growth on the Web and are widely considered the most successful tech companies in existence.
Why you should care:
The good news and the bad news: If you already have a Facebook Business Page, then you’re good to go (for now – more on that below). Facebook and its estimated 850 million monthly users should serve as a sign of Facebook’s dominance as a Web marketing tool. However, if you don’t have a Business Page set up yet, their recent valuation of $100 billion dollars is a red flag that you’re missing the boat on an important business investment.
Back to those of you who already have a Facebook Business Page. Hopefully, it is already integrated with custom tabs, an attention-grabbing cover photo and regularly-updated posts. If you’re missing these features, you’re forgetting essential pieces that are needed to make Facebook a major marketing tool for your business. If you have questions about how to utilize Facebook to build word-of-mouth referrals, contact us. We’ll tell you what your Facebook Business Page should look like in order to start winning more business from Social Media.
